Music Theory Classes in Ontario, CA
Golden Echo Academy teaches a small-group ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory class at 2550 S Archibald Ave Ste D, Ontario, CA 91761 — 20 classes per session, 90 minutes per class, $900 per session. The class follows the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory syllabus and prepares students to sit the exam.
Theory is the reading and writing side of music — how a piece is put together and why it sounds the way it does. Studying it in a small group gives students people to compare answers with, which keeps a written subject from turning into homework done alone at a desk.
Every session moves toward the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory exam, and the class is taught by our piano and theory teachers, who also prepare students for CM and ABRSM performance exams. Most students take theory in the same term as their private instrument lesson.
